2 weeks old!

Ok this will be a quick update b/c mama is tired!!! But Emmy was officially 2 weeks old yesterday, and I've been meaning to update the blog all day long!!

2 Weeks old!!

I can't believe it's already been 2 weeks since Emmy arrived! Time has really flown by, and each day gets better than the last! Since the weather was so unusually nice for January yesterday, Emmy & I invited our friend Erin over & we went on our first walk around the neighborhood! Emmy was snug in her little carrier thanks to the sweater & hat great grandma smith made, and the cozy blanket & cover that Aunt Sandra gave us!

Emerson slept through the whole walk, and even for a little longer after we got home! She's been improving on her sleeping all around, and she's even been getting some 3-hour chunks of sleep in at night! But not usually before 2:30am! Her "nighttime" seems to be between midnight and noon, so we're slowly but surely working on getting her to sleep a little earlier than that!

One last note - We're so excited because 2012 has really become the year of the girl!! Yesterday my friend Kim welcomed her baby girl, Emma Elizabeth, into the world! And we also found out yesterday that our good buddies Amanda & Brandon O'Shell will be welcoming their baby GIRL in June!! We're also so excited to meet Baby Girl Dibble in April, and Baby Girl Quick in June!! Baby Blue will be joining us in February, but we'll have to wait & see if they're a boy or a girl!! And all of these girls started with Baby Brooke Learman last March!! Emerson is so lucky to have so many good baby buddies being born so close to her birthday! We can't wait to watch them all grow up together!!
