Disney Day 3

So, lets start by saying it's a good thing we had planned today to be a park day... it was a rough morning. Well, it didn't start that way... both girls slept in a little, which was much needed. When they woke up they both ate a little dry cereal & watched a show. Then we walked over to the Boardwalk area for a 9am breakfast reservation at Trattoria al Fornio, where we dined with Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Ariel & Prince Eric! The girls both LOVED this character experience! And the food was really good! One of the nice parts of this meal is we could order off a menu, it wasn't a buffet. It's not a huge restaurant, so the character interactions are pretty intimate. In addition to each character coming around for autographs & pictures, they also did a parade around the restaurant that the kids could join in with. At each table was also a little Adventure booklet where the kids could fill in things like what they bring with them when they travel, their favorite Disney experience, etc. Emmy enjoyed filling it in & it was nice to have a little activity to fill in some down time.

After the breakfast we had intended to do a little exploring at the Art of Animation resort, and Disney's Wide World of Sports... however E was not on board with this plan & had a gigantic meltdown. Like HUGE. We still got in the car & drove over to AofA, but we never actually got out of the car. We sat & decompressed, then just headed back to our hotel for some quiet, calm time. After some successful calming down the girls ate a little in our room, and C fell asleep for her nap. Then E & I headed out to the pool for some fun in the sun, while Dan stayed back to work. It was a beautiful, hot & sunny day and the pool actually wasn't too crowded. The Swan & Dolphin hotel each have their own regular, rectangle pools, then theres a huge pool with 4 different sections (3 are all connected), a waterfall & a water slide that both resorts share. Emmy LOVES the water slide, and we went again, and again, and again... We also ventured underneath the waterfall for the first time today, and she loved that as well. After nap, Cammy & Dan joined us at the pool for a short swim before we changed & headed out to dinner. We had a reservation at Sanaa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and it was delicious! You can also see animals out the windows while you're dining! It's very cool! We also bumped into our neighbors at the restaurant tonight, which was lots of fun!

All in all the day turned out ok... fingers crossed that tomorrow goes a little better as we're heading to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party in the afternoon/evening!
