Cinderella's Royal Table is really cool! When you walk in first thing you do is meet and get a picture with Cinderella. The girls were still a little bit sleepy so their interaction with Cinderella was quick, but they perked up a bit when we got inside. The dining room is very cool, it looks exactly like a castle, and they actually had some yummy breakfast options. The character dining meals are run really well, and each character rotates through the tables in the same order, so you get to meet them all and they all come to you. It disrupts the eating a bit, especially having the books out to get autographs & taking the pictures, but it's so worth it for the experience the girls got! Just don't count on your kids eating every last bite, our girls were too excited & distracted. Each time they announced a new princess was coming out Emmy got so excited! They got to meet Snow White, Aurora, Ariel and Jasmine. They also gave every kid there a plastic wishing star, and the girls got wands & the boys got swords.
After breakfast we rode the carousel and met Princess Tiana & Princess Rapunzel before using our first fast pass at Peter Pan's flight. Cammy was NOT a fan of Peter Pan's flight... I think it was the dark that she didn't like since it really wasn't fast or didn't have big hills/dips. Emmy however loved it & wanted to do it again! Unfortunately the wait was so long we couldn't do that. Instead we headed over to the mad hatter's tea cups and the flying Dumbo ride. We then used our second fast pass for the 7 dwarfs mine train ride... Cams was *just* tall enough to ride, but she was not a fan! It was a bit too fast for her, and we pretty much felt like the worst parents for taking her on it! But of course as soon as we got off she was laughing and told us she liked it... After that we met Gaston, and then used our last fast pass for Enchanted Tales with Belle. That was fun as Dan got picked to be a knight and Emmy was a dancing plate. It was a really cute story time activity, and Cams decided she wanted to be in it too at the end, so the three of them ended up getting their picture with Belle! It was very cute.
After that we decided we needed to head back to the hotel for a nap/rest time... Cams fell asleep in the stroller literally 3 minutes from the bus... so she slept on me for the bus ride back to the hotel, and stayed asleep until I was putting her into her crib... we tried seeing if she would go back to sleep but she wasn't interested in that, so we just had a rest time & watched some shows instead.
We changed & headed back out for round 2 at Magic Kingdom, stopping first at the hotel across from us for an afternoon pick-me-up of ice cream. We thought it was a great idea, until Cams dropped her chocolate cone on her fresh (adorable and matching Emmy) snow white top! So we finished our treats, headed back upstairs for another change, and then caught the bus back to MK.
The entrance of the park didn't seem as crowded as it had when we left earlier, but it was still super busy inside. We stopped off to meet Tinkerbell and Merida, then rode the Tomorrowland speedway. Cams was not interested in driving or riding in the cars, it was too noisy for her. So Emmy got to ride twice! Disney has something called "rider switch pass" (or something similar to that) where if you have a child who can't/won't ride and one who will, you just tell the attendant at the front and they give you a fast pass, so the first parent can ride with the child right away, then the second parent can ride with that child using the fast pass after. So Emmy lucked out getting to ride twice! She loved that ride - but she is a CRAZY driver!
After that we grabbed a quick dinner at Ray's Cosmic Cafe, which was a pretty basic quick service restaurant, but both girls ate a good dinner. We headed over to use our last fast pass of the day on Aladdin's Magic Carpets, and officially decided Cameron does not like rides. We're really hoping she likes the shows better at Hollywood Studios tomorrow!!!
We decided not to stay for the fireworks tonight as they don't start until 9pm, and the girls were TIRED. Not to mention Dan & I, we are completely exhausted. We told the girls we'll do the fireworks our last night here, since we won't have to be up early the next morning. When we got back to the hotel we gave them a quick shower, read some books, and they were out. I got everything ready for tomorrow's adventures, and now I'm off to bed too!
The only big bummer we've had so far is I think I have a sinus infection brewing. I'm super congested and have been blowing my nose all day. It kept waking me up last night, so I'm hoping for a better night's sleep tonight. If not I'll be venturing out to a drug store tomorrow as they only have daytime cold medicine in our hotel store. Or if anyone has any essential oil remedies to try let me know, I have some of my oils here!
