The Goerlich Five.: We're back!

We didn't really go anywhere, just took a little hiatus from the blog! For those of you still checking in, thanks for sticking around! I'm going to attempt to update you on the last month, even though it might take me awhile...

Let's see, last time I blogged was just after Christmas! Even after the holiday celebrations ended, we had a really fun, but busy break!! We did something almost every day between Christmas and New Years!! It was a whirlwind, but fun!

You'd think at 11 months old we'd be pretty much done with Emmy's "firsts", but we had another "first" over break; Emmy's first time playing in the snow! Grandma & Grandpa Smith got Emmy a winter coat & snow pants for Christmas, and we got to try them out just a few days after Christmas! We didn't stay out very long, and Emmy definitely had a hard time moving around being so bundled up, but I think she really liked the snow!

Emmy couldn't really walk around in the snow, but she did enjoy making snow angels! She also enjoyed falling back into the snow!

In addition to our snow play, Emmy had a lot of fun testing out her new Christmas gifts! Since she's SO loved, and received SO many gifts, we decided to put a few away in the basement to save for a rainy summer day. But in the meantime, she's enjoying the ones we did open!

We also celebrated the holiday season with our parent group buddies! Even though the formal meetings have ended, most of us have stayed in contact (thanks to facebook!) and have occasional get-togethers! It was great seeing all of Emmy's "buddies", they're all getting so big!

The last holiday we celebrated was New Years Eve! We had a great time celebrating with our good friends the Learmans & the Dibbles! It's so much fun to get together with our girls, who are all really close in age. Pretty soon there will be 2 more little ones running round (not ours!), and I can't wait for it! :-)
