We had our last meeting of our Beaumont parent group this month, which was also a Halloween party for the little ones! We've really enjoyed being a part of a parent group, and having the opportunities to connect with other new parents in our neighborhood. The group only runs for 6 months, but we've signed up for swimming lessons with a bunch of the families from the group, so we'll be able to stay in touch! Even though parent group ended, Emmy's social life did not! She and Brooke had a fun play date at the park!! Emmy really enjoyed playing with the leaves and going down the slide!
To keep the Halloween celebration and the play dates going, we went to Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo with Brooke and her parents Lisa & Zack! It was Emmy's first experience trick-or-treating and she did a great job! She loved saying hi to everyone at the zoo, and had fun despite the chilly weather.
And that brings us to Halloween! Emmy started the day with a Halloween celebration at daycare with all of her friends! I think she had a little too much fun, and she came home pretty tired. But she hung in there to see her grandma & grandpa's and her uncle jims! They all came over to see our little strawberry in action!!
We just capped off another great, low-key weekend! Friday night we stayed in and all were in bed pretty early. Saturday morning was lots of fun, playing in our soft clothes, and just enjoying having nothing to do! In the evening we ran some errands and had dinner as a family! Without doing it on purpose, we kept Emmy up a little later than usual, which worked to our favor as she slept until 7:45am this morning despite it being "fall back"! Today was a busy but fun day as we celebrated baby Mila's baptism! Dan was honored to be asked to be her godfather, and we had a fun day celebrating with the Quicks! All in all it was a lot of fun, and we're all pretty exhausted, so I'll stop here for tonight, and do an "Emmy Update" tomorrow :-)
