Disney Day 3; Pool Day

Well, for a "day off" today was still pretty packed & very fun! Pax missed the memo about sleeping in on vacation and was up bright & early at 6:30. I played the "if I don't move or make noise maybe he'll go back to sleep" game, but it didn't work. He just got louder & I figured I might as well let the rest of the room sleep a little longer. So I got him up & changed and fed. Then around 7 we opened the curtains & turned on lights to wake everyone else up as we had a breakfast reservation to get to.

Luckily our breakfast reservation was right at our hotel, so we just had to get dressed & walk over to the main building. We ate at 1900 Park Fare's Supercalifragilistic Breakfast, which was a lot of fun! We had eaten dinner here on a previous trip & the food was great, and they did not disappoint for breakfast! In addition, we got to meet Mary Poppins, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Winnie the Pooh & Tigger! The girls love meeting characters & getting autographs, so these character meals are totally worth it for our family. The buffets are nice because everyone can get what they want to eat. Pax was pretty fussy at breakfast this morning, but I think he was just tired from getting up so early!

After breakfast we put Pax down for a nap, Dan went & took some work calls in the lobby and the girls played & had some iPad time. Once Pax woke up we took a short trip to the pool, a different one than yesterday, where Pax could sit & splash in some small fountains. Then we headed back to get Dan, and over to check in for the PWC portion of the trip and have some lunch. PWC really spoils us on this trip, and one of the best parts is not having to worry about food! They have breakfast available at your leisure in the ballroom, they give you gift cards to get lunch while you're out in the parks, and they have dinner events each night!

After a quick lunch we put Pax down for another nap, and the girls had a rest time, before we headed over to Disney Springs for makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! When I was planning this trip I asked the girls what they wanted to do the most and this was #1 on their list! It's the third time they've gone, and they were already talking about what princesses they want to be next year! This year Emmy was Jasmine, and Cammy was Tiana (again, but with a different dress this year)! It's a super cute experience there, and they take lots of cute pictures for you too! Pax was a good sport about waiting while his sissy's got their makeovers, and he even joined in on the photo studio fun after!

We walked around Disney Springs afterwards, and the kids each got to pick out a souvenir at the Disney Store, but Pax was fizzling fast so we headed back. The dinner party tonight didn't start until 6:30, which is Pax's normal bedtime at home. So I knew if we wanted any chance of having him at the party tonight he'd need a third nap, so that's what we did! He took a short 25 minute snooze & was ready to party!

Tonight's dinner party was a jungle theme, and they had Safari Minnie, Mickey, Goofy & Pluto, Jane & Tarzan, Baloo & King Louie, and Pocahontas all there to meet & take pictures with! They also had face painting, tatoos & a craft station for the kids. The one big thing they did NOT have was a kids buffet!! They had delicious food for the adults, but almost none of it was kid friendly! I'm not sure what happened with that, but hopefully tomorrow night there'll be a big pile of chicken nuggets & fruit available!!

So Pax ended up getting to bed around 8:45, and the girls around 9:15. Tomorrow's plan is for Dan to be in meetings all day, and for me to take the kids into Magic Kingdom... myself... But not totally myself, as we're planning to meet up with my friend Jen & her family and walk around with them. My plan is to not set an alarm & let Pax wake us up, and then head over as we're ready... and take it slow once we're there! Then head home after lunch for a rest time before tomorrow night's party! We'll see how it goes! Flexibility is definitely the name of the game tomorrow!
