Month 9

-Stats: 19lb 14 oz, 27" long 

-Nicknames: Cams, cammy, cammy Lou, Lou bug, bug, boogaloo, snuggle bug

-Has 6 teeth, #7 (top front) is making its way down

-Cameron is eating pretty much all finger foods now. She's had quite a variety of fruits & veggies (banana, mango, pear, apple, carrots, sweet potato, squash, peas, kiwi, avocado, & peaches).  She's also had puffs, baby rice crackers, yogurt, cheese & Cheerios. She really wants to feed herself when she eats! We're down to nursing only in the morning, and she gets bottles of formula during the day & at night. 

-Cameron is sleeping thru the night, typically 10 hour stretches, but she's an early riser!! She's typically asleep at 7pm but has been waking around 5 or 5:30am!! We're working on stretching that out a little longer! She takes two naps a day, about an hour long each.

-Cam's communication skills have really blossomed in the last month. She's pointing, laughing, and waving hi & bye. she's very vocal, and talks or babbles all the time. Her new sounds are "nana", "lala" and "ahhh". She said her first official word this month, and of course it was "dada", followed by "hi"! She also put her first phrases together: "hi dada" and "ahh don" (for all done)!

-This month Cameron taught herself to sit up (from laying) in her crib, so we had to lower her crib fast! I think she really enjoys the new perspective she has on things now that she's sitting up all the time. She also really likes sitting up in the tub! In addition to sitting, Cameron really wants to stand! She will stay standing if you stand her up & she has something to hold on to, but she can't quite pull herself up to stand on her own yet. I'm sure it won't be long though! Cameron also crawled up her first step this month, which is exciting and scary for us! She hasn't discovered the steps at our house yet, and hopefully she won't for awhile!

-Cam is playing really nice with her new "toddler" toys; she likes banging things together, she's really examining things, and she's using finger & thumb to pick small things up. But her favorite toy is definitely her big sister Emmy :-)

Event wise, Cammy started month 9 off by ringing in the new year with some friends at our house, but she didn't make it up past her regular bedtime! This month she also celebrated Uncle Jimmy & Auntie Amy's wedding, saw Sesame Street Live, and had a weekend long sleepover at Grandma Deedee & Papa Jim's! She's been a busy girl, and we are just loving every minute with her!!
