Emmy also loves to read! Her favorite books right now are any princess story and big sister books, but really she loves all books! Emmy is also very into arts & crafts and coloring lately. She's getting better at trying to stay in the lines, she can draw a recognizable stick person, and she can write E for her name!
Emmy really likes to go places & do stuff. Her favorite places to go include; Target, dance class, the library, grandmas & papas houses and restaurants.
Emmy is so smart! Probably too smart for her own good... and definitely smarter than we can handle most of the time! She's like a little sponge right now, asking tons of questions & soaking up everything! Her language skills are pretty amazing; she has a huge vocab & she uses sentences to ask for things, answer questions or requests and play throughout her day. It can be hard at times though, because when you hear how well she speaks, it's easy to forget that she's just 3. But her behavior is right on par for a 3 year old!! :-) She still has tantrums, although they are much less frequent than they used to be. Now we're seeing more whining & crying when she doesn't get something or if things aren't going her way. She is pretty good at using her manners though!

Emerson Jane just amazes us every day with her intelligence, kindness, energy, curiousity, sense of humor and awareness of everything that is going on around her at all times. She no longer has her chubby baby cheeks, but has blossomed into a beautiful little "big girl". She's such a great big sister and just everything we could've asked for in a daughter.
Emmy just had her 3 year well visit yet, and she is 30lb & 37" tall, which are both 50th %tile for her age. She still fits in a lot of 2T clothes, but she has started wearing some 3T as well.
Here's some basics on our big 3 year old:
Nicknames: emmy, noodle, Janie bug, sweetie pea

Favorite foods: PB&J, cheese toast (grilled cheese), milk, cucumbers, strawberries, oatmeal, cereal, pizza, m&ms, ice cream
Favorite toys: Cameron. Baby dolls. Princesses. Sofia & friends figurines. Doc McStuffins & the Doc mobile. Books. Coloring books & crayons.
When I say Cameron is Emmy's favorite toy, I'm not joking! This girl loves her little sister, and we're so grateful for that! You never know how a new baby will be received by their older siblings, but (with the exception of the first two weeks Cameron was home) we've really lucked out! She sometimes needs help playing appropriately with Cameron, but for the most part Emmy is really sweet & will bring Cameron toys to play with.

Emmy loves music & dancing! She has been taking a preballet class since the fall, and will be in her first dance recital in June! Even outside of dance class if she hears a song she likes she will just start dancing to it! Her current favorite kids music is the little mermaid soundtrack, and her favorite song from the radio is Taylor Swift's "shake it off"!
