5 months old!

5 Months Old!

Time just continues to fly by, and this little cutie is already 5 months old! She has really come into her own in month 5, and we love seeing her personality shine more & more each day! I've been behind on the blog for awhile now, and I think I can get this 5 month update posted just in time for her to turn 6 months old!

At 5 months old Cameron is a happy girl! She's giving lots of big smiles, giggles and chatters at us a lot too! She's also very drooley!

Cameron is moving around more & more every day! She's rolling all over and even doing an inchworm move where she buries her face in the ground, scrunches up her body & moves herself forward a few inches. As you can see below, she's pretty proud of herself when she gets to where she wants to go! She's also a big fan of playing in her jungle and her activity jumper, I think she really enjoys being upright & "standing."

I'm stuck!

Cameron is starting to sit up with some support, and she really seems to enjoy it! She still likes sitting in her bumbo chair, but not for as long anymore. I think her desire to move around outweighs her enjoyment of being upright!

Cammy rode in the stroller like a big girl for the first time recently! She was all bundled up in a fuzzy suit so she really wouldn't fit in her carrier. I think she wasn't sure about what was going on at first, but she seemed to enjoy her first swing ride! And she was even comfy enough to fall asleep on the ride home! 

Two teeth!

Cameron officially has two teeth! She'd been chomping on everything & drooling a lot, and then they just appeared, one right after the other! It took a few tries to get a good picture of them, but here's a few big smiles!

Can't put her toys down to sleep!

Cameron is (unfortunately) taking after her big sister in the sleeping arena. More specifically, she's not very good at it!! Nap time isn't bad; she has a pretty regular two naps a day, as long as they're at least an hour in length, but if they're shorter than she might need a 3rd nap. At night she was doing a big chunk at the beginning of the night, about 4-6 hours, and then a couple of shorter chunks after waking to eat. However we've had a bit of a regression lately... and she has been waking up 2-3 times a night. And sometimes she stays awake... for 2 hours! :-( I know there's often a sleep regression around 4 months but Cameron's seems to have come late. But hopefully this regression will go away soon, this mama needs some sleep! We're really counting on things getting better at 6 months like it did with Emmy, but no pressure Cammy... well maybe a little bit of pressure...

Cameron loves her big sister! No matter how in her face Emmy gets, Cammy just smiles & laughs at her! And Emmy loves Cameron just as much! It's very sweet to watch them together. I think the best gift we could have ever given these girls is each other! 

First time sitting in a big girl chair!

Cammy had another big girl moment when she sat in our clip on high chair for the first time! We love this chair because she can sit in it now even though she's not big enough to sit in a restaurant style high chair. 

First taste of cereal!

Cameron has been very interested in anything we are eating or drinking, so we thought she might be ready to start on solids. We started with some baby oatmeal, and the first few days she was pretty excited about it! She pretty much kept everything in, and seemed to enjoy it. But these last few days she hasn't seemed as interested, so we tried banana instead of cereal, but that didn't get too much of a reaction either. So we're taking a week or two off & we'll try it again! Shes definitely getting enough to eat with just milk (she's still exclusively eating breastmilk) so we're not worried! :-)
