1 month old!

I can't believe Cameron is already 1 month old! In some ways to feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital & in other ways it feels like a lot longer!! I know I just posted about her being 4 weeks old, but thats the problem with counting in weeks, 4 weeks & 1 month technically occur on different days but very close together...

Emmy & Cammy each at 1 month old 

I love doing side by sides of Emmy & Cammy at various ages. I know you're not supposed to compare your children, but I don't think that applies to beautiful babies who are both perfect ! ;-) Clearly Cammy is a bit bigger at 1 month than Emmy was!! Emmy is wearing a newborn sized outfit & Cammy is rockin one of her new 3 month rompers!! At 1 month Emmy weighed in at 8lb 14oz & 21.5" long, and Cammy currently weighs 11lb 5oz, and is 23" long!! My big girl is definitely growing!! Also noteworthy is that Emmy rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time at 4 weeks old (in a fit of rage over being on her tummy), and Cammy did the same thing just this week as well! Although Cammy's was more a fit of annoyance than rage... ;-) Emmy was starting to give us some real smiles around 4 & 5 weeks old, and Cammy has yet to give us a real smile. We've only seen gassy ones so far, but we're really looking forward to seeing her real smile!! At 1 month old we were just starting to take Emmy places like to the store, family's houses, etc., however Cammy has already had several trips to target, to pick up her sister at daycare, to mommy's work, and even to a few family events! Life must go on when you have a 2 year old, so the baby gets to come along for the ride!! Emmy had her first bottle of breast milk at 1 month old, but we haven't tried one with Cammy yet. We will this weekend though, as we are planning our first date night out post-Cammy for next Friday!! Emmy had just moved from sleeping in our room to her room at 1 month (still in the rock & play), but Cammy has slept in her crib in her room since day 1! Cammy is also a better sleeper in general, but she's not dealing with the reflux that Emmy had. One other big difference is that Cammy is not interested in having a pacifier at all! Emmy had (and loved) her paci from week 1, so this is new territory for us! So as much as they might look & seem alike, there are lots of differences as well!!
