| 1 year old! |
At her 1 year well visit Cameron weighed in at 21 pounds & 30" tall! Unfortunately she also had an ear infection (her second), and she had some wheezing in her chest, so she got some antibiotics instead of immunizations that day. She now has 12 teeth, as all 4 of her molars have come in!
Nicknames: Bug, Buggy, Cams, Bugaloo, Bugalicious
Cameron is not quite walking yet, but we believe it's purely out of choice at this point. She did take her first official steps on her own just before turning 13 months, but she's in no hurry to be a full time walker! However if she can hold someone's hand or a push toy she walks right along, no problem!

Cam is becoming a chatty girl! She babbles at us all day, one of her chattiest times being on our car rides home from Miss Ritas! Her intelligible words that she uses with meaning at 1 are: mama, daddy, Emmy, sissy, hi, bye-bye, uh-uh (uh-oh), dis (this), ahh done (all done) & ma (milk). She's pretty much stopped using the few signs she did know, not exactly sure why, but it's not hindering her ability to communicate at all! She reaches for people and points to show us what she wants or needs, and receptively she is pretty good at following some simple 1 step directions. However she's now starting to clearly choose when she wants to follow those requests!
Cameron is a great eater! She eats anything and everything! The weekend after her 1st birthday we took her bottles away from her & just gave her cows milk in a sippy cup, and she was totally fine with it. In fact she really doesn't even want to use the baby/beginner sippy cups (with handles), she is constantly stealing her big sisters "big girl" slippy cups! We held off until after 1 to try strawberries & peanut butter, but she's now had both & has been reaction free! We are so grateful to have not encountered any food allergies yet (knock on wood!) with either of our girls! Cam's favorite foods right now are bananas, blueberries, cheese, chicken, sweet potatoes & crackers/puffs. She is pretty good about eating veggies; she likes green beans, corn, peas, cooked carrots, raw peppers, cucumbers (but not broccoli!), and she LOVES fruit! She's pretty much had all the basics: bananas, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, mango, kiwi & oranges. So I guess you could say she eats pretty much any and everything!

Cameron is a super star sleeper! She still takes 2 naps a day, anywhere from 1-3 hours long each! At nap/bedtime we read a few books, sing her a song, put her in her bed with her fuzzy blanket, & she waves goodnight to us. She will also sometimes blow us a kiss! She's the sweetest! At night she typically goes to bed around 7-7:30pm and falls asleep pretty quickly, and usually wakes up around 7-7:30am! It's easy to forget that it took 6 months of irregular sleeping to get these last 6 months of 10-12 hr nights!!
Cameron's personality has really bloomed recently and she is a lot of fun, but she's also a stinker! And I mean that in the most affectionate way possible :-) She's definitely exploring everything & testing her limits & our reactions to things like climbing on her sister's chair, finding the tv remotes no matter where we try to hide them, and taking her sister's toys! She does like her toys too, right now her favorites are her babies, legos, books & balls! But really, the thing she's trying to do the most is be and do everything just like her big sister! It is just the sweetest thing, and it makes me so grateful that they will always have each other!
